About The Project

For this production, the creators wanted to go a different route than they did for The Autobiography of Jane Eyre. All’s Fair Play was not an adaptation or a vlog, and it wasn’t in any one person’s particular POV like The Autobiography of Jane Eyre was. Instead, the audience needed to be outside the action to build suspense. Since their fanbase knew the vlog format, the creators had two younger characters have a vlog that would act as a b plot that added to the main plot but didn’t take away from it.

I decided these two younger characters, Daria and Sammy, would have Twitter accounts to accompany these vlog segments of theirs. They were younger so they didn’t have Twitter to keep up to date on current events more as a public chat room that only their friends were likely to respond to. What was subtextual with Jane’s Tumblr was not for the likes of Daria and Sammy.

I instead focused on building up the KalamaTea brand, but the team ultimately stepped away to pursue other careers.
